Usa Business 15 (Steinwehr Ave-Emmitsburg Rd) hacia el sur fuera de Gettysburg. Gira a la izquierda en South Confederate Drive (en los campos de batalla). Take Business 15 (Steinwehr Ave-Emmitsburg Rd.) south from Gettysburg. Turn left on South Confederate Drive (into the battlefield). Park in the lot on the right, before the road becomes one-way. Parking on the right side of the road is allowed beyond the parking lot in the one-way section, but not along the two-way stretch of S. Confederate.
The hike crosses Slyder Farms{ fields, then climbs through the woods at the base of Big Round Top, then returns acros a different portion of Slyder Farm. The optional add-on is to the top of Big Round Top, at times a steep climb but with a rewarding view. Expect a quiet winter experience reminiscent of the 19th century.
