WIC (women, infants, and children)

What: A special supplementary nutrition program for women, infants, and children in PA that helps with money to buy food, support with breast feeding, Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program vouchers (FMNP), referrals to other health and social services, and more

Who is eligible: Women who are pregnant, up to 6 months after the birth, up to 1 year after the birth if breast feeding; infants and children less than 5. People also must reside in PA, have a medical or nutritional risk, and income must not exceed 185% of the Federal Poverty Guideline.

**WIC does NOT require proof of US Citizenship**

COVID-19: everything is being done through the phone; to collect any physical benefits, go to the WIC window at SCCAP’s main office at 153 N. Stratton St.

Nurse-Family Partnership

What: Free, personal registered nurse to offer support, advice, and information throughout your pregnancy and up until your baby turns 2 years old, provided by Family First Health

Who is eligible: any woman who is pregnant with her first child, is 28 weeks pregnant or less, and meets income requirements

When and Where: nurse works with your schedule and meets in your home, an office, or in the community

Head Start

What: a free education, health, nutrition, and dental services for children 3-5

When: Mon.-Fri. during the school year

Where: Biglerville, Gettysburg, New Oxford, and more

What: subsided child care

Who is eligible: kids must be citizens, but parents do not have to be; parents must be working
